Hire Agriculture Logistics Workers Poland: What Changed in 2025
Poland’s simplified declaration procedure — the oświadczenie route many employers are used to — is open only to nationals of a short list of neighbouring countries. India, Nepal, Bangladesh and Pakistan are not on that list. Any offer to move South Asian workers into Poland on a declaration is describing a document that will not be registered.
The routes that do apply are the type A work permit, issued by the voivode for a named employer and a named role, and the seasonal work permit for agriculture and horticulture, which covers defined seasonal activity for a limited period each year. Both are employer-sponsored, so the file is built around your company, your role description and your terms.
One thing has changed since most guidance was written, and it changed in your favour. Under the Act of 20 March 2025, in force from 1 June 2025, the labour market test was abolished. Employers no longer have to obtain the informacja starosty confirming no local candidate was available, which removed the slowest and least predictable stage of a Polish file. In its place a starosta may publish a list of occupations for which permits will be refused in that district, so the check is now a narrow local exclusion rather than a test every application had to pass.
Two practical consequences follow. All applications are now filed electronically through praca.gov.pl, and from 2026 the salary floor for a full-time permit is PLN 4,806 gross per month. Budget against that figure rather than an older one.

How to Hire Agriculture and Logistics Workers in Poland from South Asia
Employers who set out to hire agriculture and logistics workers in Poland from South Asia meet a permit route that differs from the one they know. Poland has become a net importer of labour, and the sectors feeling it hardest are the ones with fixed calendars: harvest windows that cannot be moved, and distribution peaks that arrive whether or not the shift is covered. For years the answer was the simplified declaration route for neighbouring nationalities. As that pool has tightened, employers have started looking further afield.
The important thing to understand before you brief anyone is that South Asian nationals do not qualify for the declaration procedure. They require a work permit issued by the voivode — type A for ordinary employment, or a seasonal permit for qualifying agricultural and horticultural activity. Both are tied to a named employer and a named role, so the permit is only as good as the accuracy of the file you sponsor.
Two failure modes are common. The first is a role description that does not match the work actually performed, which creates an inspection exposure and can invalidate the permit. The second is underestimating the combined permit and visa timeline, then discovering in the middle of a harvest window that nobody is arriving. Neither is a candidate-supply problem; both are planning problems.
We work backwards from your calendar, tell you at the first call whether the date is achievable, and decline requirements that cannot be staffed lawfully in the time available. Current roles are listed on our live vacancies board, and our standards on fees, contracts and worker treatment are set out in ethical recruitment compliant with EU labour law.
Since June 2025 it has been materially quicker to hire agriculture logistics workers Poland needs, because the labour market test that used to govern the timeline no longer applies. Employers building a Central European workforce often also read our pages on Croatia and Slovakia.

Quick Answers
What is a type A work permit?
It is the standard Polish work permit, issued by the voivode for a named employer, a named role and a defined period. It is the main route for South Asian workers, because the simplified declaration procedure is not open to their nationalities.
Why can we not use the oświadczenie declaration?
Because that procedure is restricted to nationals of a short list of neighbouring countries, and India, Nepal, Bangladesh and Pakistan are not among them. A declaration filed for those nationalities will not be registered, whatever an agency tells you.
What changed for employers on 1 June 2025?
The labour market test was abolished under the Act of 20 March 2025, so you no longer need the informacja starosty before applying. Filing also moved fully online through praca.gov.pl. Together those two changes removed the slowest stage of a Polish file.

Poland reformed this area in 2025 and a great deal of published guidance still describes the old procedure. These are the official references.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can we bring Indian or Nepali workers in on the simplified declaration?
No. The declaration procedure is limited to nationals of a short list of neighbouring countries, and South Asian nationalities are not included. They need a work permit issued by the voivode, which is a different file with a different timeline.
What is the difference between a type A permit and a seasonal permit?
A type A permit covers ordinary employment with a named Polish employer and is the general route. A seasonal permit covers defined agricultural and horticultural activity for a limited period in the year. Which one fits depends on the actual work, and we will tell you which applies rather than defaulting to whichever is quicker.
Does a labour market test apply to our roles?
It depends on the role and the voivodeship, and it is one of the first things we check. Where a test applies we build the timeline around it instead of discovering it mid-application.
Who prepares the permit file, us or you?
We do. We assemble the application, tell you exactly which employer-side documents we need and by when, and file with the voivode office. Your team is not left interpreting the process alone.
How far ahead do we need to start for a harvest window?
A harvest window is a hard deadline, and permit plus visa processing consumes real time, so the conversation needs to open months rather than weeks ahead. We will say plainly at the first call if a date cannot be met.
What does it cost to hire agriculture logistics workers Poland employers can lawfully engage?
Our fee and the permit charges are predictable. The line to plan against is the salary floor, which from 2026 is PLN 4,806 gross a month for a full-time permit, plus accommodation where you are providing it. With the labour market test gone the process is faster than it was, but the wage bar is now the binding condition.
Does the abolition of the labour market test mean any role will be approved?
No, and it is worth being precise about this. The blanket test is gone, but a starosta may publish a list of occupations for which permits will be refused in that district based on the local labour market. So the check moved from a universal hurdle to a targeted local exclusion. We check your district’s list before filing.
